Does your little one have trouble passing stools that are frothy and shoot out? 💩

Please don’t rush to Google it — I did, and trust me, it’s scary. Many sources immediately suggest lactose intolerance or cow’s milk protein allergy. ❌

But not every tummy issue is an allergy. One common cause? A feeding issue. Fast milk flow, oversupply, or an easy bottle can lead to overfeeding and air swallowing — cue gas, stomach pain, and high-pressure poops.

Before jumping to meds or diet changes, visit a lactation clinic. Assess feeding technique, weigh the baby, and consider basic stool tests. Most issues improve with simple adjustments — not prescriptions.

Usually a woman feels pre-labour contractions a few weeks before giving birth, they are short and irregular, with varying intensity.

➡️ These types of contractions subside or lose their strength when changing body position. After drinking lemon balm or after a warm shower, they disappear...

And so we wait as if on a ticking bomb...💣

➡️ Proper contractions, appearing as the beginning of labour, are distinguished by their regularity🤰 They last about 30-40 seconds and appear initially every 15-20 minutes. Over time, they become more frequent and more painful.

Importantly, the pain is felt not only in the lower abdomen, but can also be in the sacrum area and sometimes in the legs. If the contractions are regular and the intervals between them are getting shorter, you should go to the hospital 🏥

But the question keeps coming up whether this is it ⁉️

In my first pregnancy there were no contractions, not one predicting, not one heralding labor, not one CTG recording, I was waiting for induction 😏
In my second pregnancy the first contractions after morning coffee☕, not strong at all, while cleaning I launch the contraction app, rather to check, I click each one, between turning on the dishwasher and putting the washing machine on the app yells go to the hospital!! 😱😱😱

Go to the hospital!? And I’m home alone, my daughter in kindergarten, my husband at the hairdresser... I think I’ll go by car after all it hardly hurts at all 🙅.. hmm no 😅 I’m calling, the contractions are getting stronger... with each one it’s harder for me to talk. I have to stop for a moment, but it’s not bad, I get to the Emergency Room - and there I’m 4 cm dilated: welcome to the long-awaited delivery room 🙂

It’s worth being ready for every option, having several plans of action so as not to lose your head in all this 🙂

As for feelings... as many people, as many opinions. ❤️

Rupture of the membranes will result in the release of amniotic fluid - what should you prepare for?

1️⃣ The amount of amniotic fluid that flows out varies - it depends on where exactly the baby’s head is. If it is very low in the pelvis, simultaneously pressing on the internal opening of the cervix - a large amount of amniotic fluid may remain in the uterine cavity, and the remaining amount may only leak out - the idea is that the baby’s head in this situation is like a cork that blocks the internal opening of the cervix.

2️⃣ If you are not sure whether the amniotic fluid is flowing, put on an insert and be active for an hour - if the insert is wet, you have a guarantee that the waters are breaking.

3️⃣ The amniotic fluid may be clear and the color of very diluted urine

4️⃣ If the water is pink and contains mucus, it may mean that it has passed along with the mucus plug - this is not a cause for concern

5️⃣ Amniotic fluid should have a fresh smell - if you smell an unpleasant odor, this may indicate an infection and you should go to the hospital immediately to assess the situation

6️⃣ If the GBS smear is negative, then when the amniotic fluid passes, you can go to the hospital only after 6 hours - provided that the fluid is clear, the smell is OK, and the fetal movements are the same as before. However, it may turn out that after the amniotic fluid passes, the contractions will also start - then you should go to the hospital when it is difficult for you to talk during a contraction.

6️⃣ If the amniotic fluid passes and the GBS smear is positive, you should go to the hospital immediately to give the mother an intravenous antibiotic to reduce the risk of infection in the child.

If labor does not begin within 24 hours, induction of labor is indicated.
About 60% of women give birth within 24 hours of their water breaking👍

The beginnings of breastfeeding – beautiful, full of closeness, but also often very difficult 💔 Many mothers dream of breastfeeding naturally, fighting for every drop of milk. Many mothers are ready to sacrifice everything for successful lactation. It seems that “at all costs” is the only way... but sometimes this price is simply too high.

Breastfeeding does not always go as we imagine. Problems arise, difficulties with latching the baby, pain or frustration. Sleepless nights, constant worries and pressure - both ours and that from outside. We often try with all our might to stick to the plan, believing that every difficulty can be overcome. But sometimes... you have to let go a little, find a golden mean that will allow us to function healthily.

Dear Mom - any way of breastfeeding that provides your child with love, warmth and safety is the right way. A heroic attitude at all costs is not always a good solution, sometimes it is letting go that can be the act of the greatest care for your child and for yourself.

Each of us is enough. Each of us is strong. Even when we make a decision different than we originally planned ❤️
